STEP-Up

The Step Up students recently participated in a service project designed by Liz Pipes. They used math skills to make and cook dog treats. They then bagged the treats and Cobby Barfield delivered them to representatives of Logan’s Run Rescue as a donation. The treats will be used at the LRR Thrift store.

The Step Up program continues to GROW!! We have added 5th grade students this year. Everyone is working hard and we will welcome new students after the holidays.

STEP-Up is a program of tutoring for middle school students.  This program meets weekly on Wednesdays at 3:15 pm in the Educational Building (during the school year).

Support, Tutoring, Enrichment, and Preparation are offered during the sessions. Current and former educators work with students to complete work and advance in all school subjects. In addition to math, reading, language arts, science, and social studies, the tutors can offer instruction in music, French, and computer skills.

Each afternoon session includes enrichment activities including art, crafts, games, and field trips.

STEP-UP is open to any middle grades student in the Cherokee County schools. We do have limited space, and application to the program is required.
