Introduction
Lent is a season of preparation for Easter and a time to reconsider just how we are living.
What better way to prepare for a celebration of new life than to prepare ourselves and to renew our minds. We are in a special time of waiting and reflection. We are preparing our hearts and minds for the last days Jesus lived and the first days of His resurrection and gift of eternal life! During the next 46 days, may you be inspired to identify and release thoughts or behaviors that may be inhibiting your spiritual growth as you read these words and thoughts.
Throughout this time of Lent, may you be aware that others of like mind and heart are seeking a time of spiritual renewal and ways to renew their focus on God and His ways.
This devotional offers a combined effort of Murphy First members and attendees. Each day captures a unique lens on Lent and how the Gospel of John is fluid throughout this season. These devotions reflect us as Easter People!
May this devotional booklet help you see the quiet ways God is at work in your life – piece by piece, day by day. Take time to pause and reflect on God’s generous gifts – grace, peace, strength and joy. Use this time to reflect and slow down as we look forward to celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
May God Bless you during this special season!
Be strong in the Lord and never give up hope . . . .
Take your time and pray
Thank God for each day
His love will find a way
