I was born and raised in Canada (Elmvale, Ontario). Eventually, I  moved to Barrie, Ontario, where I graduated from Georgian College.

I took a job at the college there, but meanwhile an aunt who attended a small church enlisted me to type her church bulletins; and from that seed my “church secretary” career grew.

After moving to Florida, I worked at St. Paul United Methodist Church and then in the Gulf Central District office of the church. 

We moved in September 2021; settling in Murphy was truly a Godsend. In March 2022, I began my work as Administrative Assistant at Murphy First UMC — a truly rewarding job, with no two days alike.

 Married to Grant, we have five children (two girls and three boys) and eight grandchildren — an even four girls and four boys.
