Ways to Serve, Connect, and Give

Mondays During Lent, Sanctuary,  noon – 12:45 p.m.

Lectio Divina, led by Ann Smith

Lectio Divina, which means sacred reading, is an ancient way of reading Scripture that invites you to read a text slowly, savoring the words, listening for a word or phrase that speaks to you. Rather than analyzing a text, lectio divina is a practice of allowing a text to shape you. Each week we’ll practice lectio divina with texts for the Lenten season. Feel free to drop in for any or all of the weeks.

Tuesdays during Lent, in Sanctuary, 12 p.m.

Centering Prayer, led by Rev. Wil Posey

Centering Prayer is a silent, contemplative prayer practice that welcomes God’s presence and action within.  While Centering Prayer has been around for centuries, it is not well known in many Protestant circles today.  Lent is a perfect time of year to explore ways of connecting with God, including potentially new ways such as Centering Prayer.  Join us every time or as often as you can to join community of prayer and practice.
